Got to the track late Saturday, made one pass in the last session, went 7.519 Then I jumped in Dial-in for Dollars ($10.00 entry) which I normally don't bother entering. Dialed it 7.51 and at the end of the run, the boards showed 7.510 ...Reaction time is the tie breaker, since there is usually more than one car that goes dead on, so I was hoping for a good light. When I got the slip, I looked at it and saw .000 for the light. I pretty much knew the money was mine! We get half, $355.00 is what I got for that pass. But first round, there was an oil down in front of me, and a 20 minute wait where I guess the heat got to me, and I was a little late .045 light, 7.499 on a 7.50 ...The other guy, .001 on the tree, need I say more? I've had lots of .000 lights, been dead-on "0" plenty, but not both at the same time. I won Fun Ford Weekend Dial for Dollars years ago, but it wasn't with this good of a package!
Congratulations...I know how hard that is to do. I've got time slips with perfect lights and dead on runs but not both.
Congrats! That slip needs to be framed. I like the dial-in for dollars idea. We should try that again at the next TMCCC race in Kennedale. I missed out on the first one this year. Eric
Eric, we have started doing them at the Muscle Car Challenges, we just forgot this last time. I guess they are done till Sept? I hear there's a black Maverick with 900hp running at TXR, I've seen it, but haven't talked to him yet, I'm always working the starting line.
Yes we race again in September at Ennis. The last race was in Ardmore OK were I had a chance to run my brother John in the Top Muscle Finals but broke out by .009 in the Semi's. My brother ended up winning in the Finals for his first win.
