If you're putting a 2-bbl on six-banger and worried about hood clearance, remember that any scoop will have to be off to the side and not directly centered on the hood. A cowl hood or some kid of a double scoop setup is going to be what you need. I believe that there are all kinds of scoops in the tread John posted.

Who has the Shelby KR scoop nowadays?
That thing is 'uber' wide and would cover an offset hole in the hood.

Last I heard, I think Ray has it... (Rayzorsharp)

That thing looked good. I am waiting to see it all done up with paint and on a car!
Too bad it is full on custom and not available. :(

    Here is the KR scoop...
Please forgive my novice skills with photochop. The hood is primer, but I tried to color it red. It is so hard to tell how the finished product will look when it's in primer.
I doubt you could do this as just a scoop.
This setup is more a complete hood, not something you can bond or bolt on.

If the scoop is wide enough you can still center it on the hood and it will work. The hole for your carb will just be off center.
