This is my car on a 12.50 run, without nitrous. Speedworld in Phoenix. I put a little more air in the tires on the next run, helped out the 60 foot time. It will be interesting to see what the Cal Tracs do for it.
You won't be able to see an earth shattering difference with the cal tracs on motor.........however, it will help out much more with the nitrous launches......
In that picture I had 11.5 but the next few runs I adjusted them up to 13.5 and improved my 60 ft times, it is real consistent at 1.44. I am running 5.14 gears with 28.5 tall slicks. You see the way the car is lifted up about 3 inches in the rear? I am hoping the Cal Tracs will turn that upward motion into forward motion.
Thanks, I was wondering about the air pressure. There is a fine line between too much and not enough. I have the same trouble when I run my pressure lower than 15 psi. the tires wad-up and give me poor reaction times and inconsistant 60' plus the car is all over the track. Looking good.
Thats what was a little different, the car was deadly consistent, even with the tires wadding up like that. The last three runs I made with the air pressure at 11.5, the sixty foot times were 1.58, 1.58, and 1.58 and the 1/4 mile times were 12.446, 12.448, 12.446. I have only made 3 runs with the nitrous and they were spent playing setting up the EGT, so the next outing to the track will tell me alot. I will be sure and post the results.
