Hello! I have a '71 Mav, with a 200 engine. Prior to putting in a new radiator,
I decided to replace the thermostat (from Motorcraft). Then the thought occurred,
if I'm replacing the thermostat, I ought to replace the 44 year-old bolts to it. I'll
make sure that the new bolts have the three lines on the bolt head. My question
is what torque number am I to tighten them? Also, from the local auto parts store,
I got a gasket that has an adhesive backing. Should I use this along with the brush-on
    gasket compound?

    Thanks for the advice!
