There was mention previously of Maverick doors that had holes setup for both 70/72 style and 73/77 style door handles and arm-rests ... basically making them compatible with all year Mavericks. Perhaps that's what these mystery doors are out of ...
The "running lights" mentioned in the grille...would those be the same thing as the sportlamps? I had previously thought those were only available on the Grabber...
You guys like the dash tray? Its such a pain, you can't put anything into the car. Maybe its a girl thing but I like storing little items in the car, and I could never do that when I drove my Comet.
I much prefer the looks of the Under Dash tray ... That is why my 74 has been converted to look like a 72 LDO ...
For whatever it's worth, my '72 Comet has the later style door latches. Next time I have it apart, I'll see if it has provisions for the older style as well. It also has the same interior trim found on LDO Mavericks, (tan LDO seats, dash tray) but says "Comet" instead. Sam
My 73 four door has the tray along with the 73-77 arm rests. The tray is cool looking and a nice place to watch your stuff(sunglasses, lighters, owners cards, pens) slide back and forth. Entertainment as your drive
