Boy oh boy did I ever make a mistake!!!
Went to the parts house in the Grabber this morning to get brake pads for the Tahoe (5 years and they were metal to metal, with good rotors) anyhoot, on my way back home, on the main highway where the speed limit is 60 mph, there was this late model Mustang GT a silver and black one, just tooling along at 50 mph, I was like dude go on!! he didn't so I went around him at 60 mph, as I approached the highway that leads to my house (a two mile long and bumpy one) I saw that the Mustang was kinda close upon me, I turned on my signal to turn and he did as well, as soon as I made the turn and got going straight, I nailed it hard!!
And so did that Mustang!! I watched him as the front end kinda lifted (not off the ground just up) each time he changed gears, he was on my bumper the whole time and I was like CRAP!!, just before I hit 100 mph I stuck my hand out and gestured I had had enough (the highway was real bad whoop de doos ahead) and was slowing down, he flashed his headlights to acknowledge he knew I was slowing, I eased over off the road and he pulled up beside me and said "not bad for a 40 year old car, what you got in there?" I told him 289, and I ask, and you have what? he said a 5.0, I was like, that new Coyote engine? he said yeah 412 HP with a 6 speed tranny, all I could do was say damn, he said yeah I was just toying with you back there, I said yeah I saw that, as he pulled away I said lets see what it will do....he left with tires smoking in first and long chirping through second and third.
They need to mark those damn things better so I know when not to jump!!!

    I thought flashing lights, too.

My buddy just bought one of those, and immediately took the 5.0 badges off (giving them to me) and put on the 6-cylinder badges. He wants to have a sleeper.

Quick car. We tested his against mine, and seat of pants it felt very close. I thought his was faster, but he thought mine was.

We will hit the track this fall and go head to head, just to see for sure.

Regardless, his is nicer, cuz it has A/C! So no comparison there.

I was thinking the K-Mart Special was coming at the end too. If I were driving I know that would have been the outcome, it's my luck!
