I'm seriously thinking about making a realistic offer on this car.

We've all seen it before. I'm not that keen on the original color so that might change and and Engine swap is in need. What do you think it's worth to fix the fender and probably the hood(Has rust where the battery was) The color change and the engine swap are down the road alittle.

Could be a nice car. Neat thing is everything is there and you don't have to look around for parts. I wouldn't pay that unless it already had a v8. :)

I like it. It's almost a twin to my car.

That thing has been listed and re-listed for the last 3 months, I would think the seller would be open to offers by now...

There seems to be a lot of Mavs out there that already have a v8 that could be purchased at a decent price, then all you would have to do is build it the way you want it. Some are already built pretty good.

Are you going to make a race car out of it?

If you are going to change the color and do an engine swap then you could start with alot cheaper car then that and end up with the same car for less. But the better car you start with the easier it is to do. It is a nice car and the interior is in great shape. I would have the fender worked out by a paintless dent repair guy. Maybe swap the engine if you want. But if you are going to do a color change its all got to come apart and be worked and that could be done to a cheaper car.

The only problem I can forsee is that you cannot see the car. Aspects such as rust under the car, damage to the unibody, etc. could raise up. If the buyer keeps rejecting the offers any damage must not be too bad. But as I said this is a possible problem. The pics check out and unless the v8 is a must for you I would say... go for it

That car is owned by someone that knows Maverick very well, I'm sure they are not that worried about getting rid of it. I would by it sight unseen, and have no worries. But I've been told, no more, until one leaves.

I would say $5000 would be a reasonable offer.

This Grabber would definately be a nice one to own.

If you happen to be looking for all of the options this car has, it would sure take alot of money and time, these days, to obtain all of those parts, in that kind of shape.

Good Luck! I hope it works out for you...maybe all of us on here will get to see even more pictures of it, if you get it.

I only paid 2k for mine with 123,000 miles on it and a one owner car. True that it isn't a 71 grabber, but that seems a little high to me. I guess it all depends what you think it is worth, not what everyone else thinks. Your call.:tiphat:

If you are going to do a motor swap and color change, I would be aiming for a solid V8 car to begin with. It could be had for half of what this guy is aiming to sell that car for.
