I know it's in the Mustang & Fords, but I went to their website, looks like a pretty slick set-up, and coming soon for Mavericks. http://www.rrs-online.com/3linkproducts.php
That's going to be an awesome setup. I wonder if Jeff Ford is still working with those guys. They were building a Comet a while back.
Yes, Jeff is still working with them. The last I heard was the Comet project is going slow due to too many obligations, not enough time. Last November, Mathew from RRS took measurements from the Comet to allow him to mock up the 3-link for our cars. I have driven a couple of Mustangs before and after the conversion. The difference is amazing. The car goes where you point it without all the rolling and wallowing that you can get with a leaf spring rear. For those of you running new springs, bushings and shocks, you would like the difference as well. The spring rate on the coilovers can be softer for a more comfortable ride while still retaining the handling you would expect to get from a much firmer leaf spring. The watts linkage pretty much guarantees the rear end will stay centered under the body which causes the car to be much more predictable. I can't wait for my set.
That is very cool. Any idea how much something like that will cost for our cars? Now we just need some sort of half decent "bolt in" front suspension.
Can't wait. That thing looks great. Looks like we can go with a little wider rear tires under there also.
According to their website the current 3 link kits are $3500 so I would guess the Maverick will be the same. They also offer front end kits.
