My dad actually put this together for me in his spare time. It really gets the car up off the floor where it is easier to work on. Maybe a rotisserie is in the future as well, but for now, this works :)

that is exactly what I was thinking about making, but the jackstands were cheaper. :D If I can ever get ahold of some scrap steel I will definitely try to make one of those though.

You could have used jackstands as the supports. Then you could raise the car even more

One good thing about a rotisserie is you can usually rent it out when your not using it. I have a list of people who want mine. I paid $725 total for it and have made back $400

NICE!!!!! Scrap steel is cheap. I always end up thinking I am getting ripped off for casters on projects like this. Got a good source?

The ones we used were donated from somewhere, I cant remember. If you have to buy them, I'll bet they would be expensive. Have you tried northern tool? Maybe even JCWhitney...

Sounds like your source is about like mine.....I bought about 20 heavy duty ones from a guy at the Charlotte Auto Fair a couple of years ago. He was selling out the last of some manufacturing business. They are all gone now. Made a trip to Kanapolis about a month ago and picked up two shopping carts off the side of I-85 and made transmission carts out of them. Embarased the kids HaHa. I've turned into my own old man. Northern or Harbor Freight are where I usually get them when I have to buy them. There both have stores in Greensboro.

Did you just put some tack welds onto the torque boxes to attach the table to the car?
