When you cut that inch or more off of the clutch pedal arm, did it increase the pedal effort that you noticed? And just for reference, what clutch are you guys running? Is there anything keeping me from installing the clutch tube and arm up higher to avoid cutting the pedal arm altogether? Thanks
I plan on using an adjustable cable and firewall adjuster. I havent done any of this yet. I wanted to know what kind of pedal effort it would end up giving before I did go this route. How about leaving the arm the stock length? Is it too terribly stupid looking compared to the brake? Or how about lengthening the brake arm a little bit to match the length of the clutch arm?
Stockhatch I did this swap. I used the stock fox body mustang pedal and did not have to cut it at all. It remaines at the stock length. It also is right in line with my brake pedal. The only thing I had to do is notch the wiper bracket about half inch to make room for the cable assem. The clutch pedal is not the same thickness as the maverick one but I did not care. Measure many time cut & weld ones. Everything lines up. Hope this helps Mike
Dude! Thats good news. Would it be possible for you to post some pics of your pedals and/or setup under the dash? I would like to see where you welded the tube in if thats possible. Thanks alot
Pics of pedal set-up Adam here are the pics you are waiting for.sorry it took so long The shot with the master cylender is to show where the adjustable cable came through the fire wall. Mike
