I see stuff like that on ebay sometimes. Someone here may pop in and say they have it. I have heard of people using modified mustang parts. Be patient.. somebody always comes thru here.

I hope you have a little fabrication skills because you will be on the road much faster if you modify a 6 cyl set up. They are much easier to find. Another sugestion is to go with a hydraulic set up. You can buy a mustang kit or make your own set up much cheaper.

The way I understand it, If there was a scale from 1 to 10 on rare Maverick parts, the V8 Z bar would be a 10...

Good Luck. Just keep an eye out on ebay.

V8 z-bars are reproduced - I am using a repop in my Grabber ... it's the z-bar mounts that are just about impossible to find and they are not reproduced ...

Thats retarded that they would remake the bar and not the mount. :coco:

The mounts a quite a bit more involved and would required specialized tools including stampings and lathes ...

The z-bar can be put together by bending and welding the proper gauge steel bars ... I'm pretty sure the repops are actually made by some guy in his metal shop or something and sold through AK ...

Take it from me... I converted from AT to MT using stock parts, and it was less than perfect.
The 2 pc Zbar is a pain to work with on a stock car and just terrible if you have headers, blowproof bell, and/or a performance clutch.
    Go hydraulic.
I have all the parts, but I can't bring myself to get rid of them even though I am sold on going hydraulic with the car on it's next incarnation.
    Good luck
    Dave
