Well I am going to change my torque converter again and I forgot the bolt pattern size. Is it the 10 1/2" or the 11 7/16" size, I would like to order the TCI Street Fighter and then start removing the old, so when the new one gets there it is ready to go in. I know with the cold weather I might as well remove the old, measure the bolt pattern and then order, but I was wondering if anybody knows the size.
    Thanks Todd

You're going to have to physically measure the bolt circle. Some were 10 1/2" some were 11 7/16". I've seen them both ways in mavericks/comets...and have even seen a 9 3/8" one in a Mustang II once. Talk about an oddball

    Bolt pattern C4

If you can remove the inspection cover on the bottom of the trans, rotate the flexplate so two of the converter bolts are accessable. Measure the distance between them, the 10 1/2 pattern should be 7 1/2 inches center to center and the 11 7/16 pattern should be 8in center to center. The C4's used in various cars and trucks could have either size flexplates and bell housings from the factory. Majority were small bolt pattern with 157 tooth flexpate in the mid size cars, trucks and larger cars were large bolt pattern with 164 tooth flexplate and larger bellhousing. Can use either one but must keep the flexplates and matching bellhousing as a pair. Over the years many people have chgd. out trannys and used one or the other depending on availability. The tape measure is easiest way to tell what you have in yours.

THanks for the help I will check before ordering. TCI says it is the 10 1/2" bolt pattern.
