torque specs

    anyone know the torque specs for the front hubs on 62 comet 170 ci? thanx, mike

    Torque the adjusting nut to 12-15 ft. lbs. to seat the bearing while rotating the wheel/hub. Back off adjusting castell nut and nut lock two castellations and install cotter pin

    He's right on. One more thing, I tend to have to adjust mine again if I had just packed the bearings.

    After a good couple of heat cycles mine need to be tightened. I've noticed that on my wife's Explorer and my Ranger as well. Could be I'm going too loose to start with, but too tight ruins them.
