Ok, call me crazy :coco: but I am unsure as to how much Tranny fluid goes in after it has been drained. I put a new filter in and wanted to be sure I had the right amount.

    Thanks

Since you didn't drain the converter you probably don't need more than 5 or 6 quarts. I'd put in about 3 and just keep adding til it's full checking after each quart.

That may be about all you lost. Be sure to drive it around the block and recheck it. I'm sure you know it needs to be checked while running. The torque converter holds quite a bit of fluid and there will usually be a lot of fluid throughout the tranny that will drain for a long time if left open. If it checks full, then it's full. :)

sounds good. Thanks for your help!
The tranny doesnt slip anymore and the filter has been changed, so I have accomplished what I set out to do.
