I need to get a doubt cleared. Maybe someone has the answer. Is the transmission behind a 302 engine on a 1980 1/2 ton f-150 a C-4 or a C-6?
I need to know this in order to make my decision about buying the combo for my Mav.
I need to know if this tranny would fit my application and I do not want to pull it just to find out it will not work for me. Thanks a bunch in advance guys!

Very easy to find out - A C6 does not have a removable bellhousing.

Also a C4 is case fill and a C5 is pan fill. I don't know what the last year for the C5 was but they used them in a lot of trucks. It could also have a AOD in, it look and see if the D is in the middle of a O or not, or it could have a white O with a D in the middle. If it is then it is an AOD. The C6 and the AOD do not have a removable bell housing. The C4 and C5 do.

I'm thinking the C5 came out in 1982
