I did the same thing to one of my hoods last year. Was going to go with a Ford style shaker, but I already had a T/A scoop, and I thought it fit the lines of a Maverick better than the Ford version
I made a quick video for getting the shaker installed. just need to upload it to youtube. To make it fit right I had to separate the shaker fiberglass and air cleaner ring from the intermediate metal sheet. I cut a new metal piece to use as the intermediate. This allows me to center the shaker perfect in the hole and move it forward. In stock form the shaker sits to far back In the engine bay. When lowering the hood the back hood frame would smack the shaker cowl.
