trans gasket

    77 ford maverick, 69 ford custom 500, 94 ford explorer
    Does anyone know if the still make the cork transmission gaskets I replaced mine with a rubber gasket and it is still leaking around the edges

    if your pan isnt new maybe it is bent a little try replacing the pan or ball ping hammer the holes flat if theyre bent up. you can use black sealer and it wont leak. that stuff is beyond sealer its like a crazy sealer. I used it on my oil pan and when I had to take it back off I didnt think I was going to get it off in one piece. that stuff holds like its life depends on it

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    You can also have the bolts too tight, which will distort the pan around the bolt holes.
