Will a 1970 C4 automatic swap into a 1971 that has a manual "three on the tree"? I would prefer the auto over the column shift. I assume the swap, if possible, requires coolant lines, mods to the steering column, some linkage changes, etc. Chris
no mods to the steering column. unless you want to try and find a column that was originally in a car that had a floor shift. Just remove the lever. do you have the convertor already. If not, make sure the input spline shaft is correct. In 1970 they changed from a 24 to a 26 spline shaft. Ford was famous for using up what they had before going to the new stuff.
you will need a AOD transmission cooler and lines..AOD motor plate and AOD flexplate and a AOD crossmember. ..Frank...ILMAOD
