ok i just installed my t5 and.... its sits further to the drivers side than it does in another persons car... both mavericks... both early models 69.5 and 70... same crossmember... crossmember fits his... but with mine the transmission sits too far to the drivers side by about an inch... anybody know why? both are wc t5s
Worn motor mounts or tranny mounts? Im guessing if the driver side motor mount is bad it could tilt the entire engine to one side, causing the tranny to tilt too...is it tilted or actually moved?
If the engine is straight in the mounts then you do not have the transmission seated on the bell or the bell is not seated on the emgine. If they are all seated correctly then either the engine is not sitting correctly or the cross member is not in correctly.
Im trying to figure out how its sitting... does the motor sit exactly like this? The valve cover is completely vertical...if its not vertical then one of the motor mounts are bad or mounted incorrectly ...if it is vertical then something is wrong with how the transmission is mounted
It is angled left to right between the frame rails so that the very end of the transmission is offset to the drivers side by about an inch or an inch and a half
