:jack::jack:I have just bought a 1974 Maverick, Automatic. I have yet to get it from Texas where my wifes family is. I was wondering what type of transmissions were made for the car. I know it has the 302 engine. It was my wifes grandfathers and I bought it for her when he passed away. Just trying to get a picture of things I wll be able to teach my 9 year old son when I get it home to work on and upgrade it. I am not to knowledgable on the types. Someone was telling me about "c" something or other.. Time to learn and have fun.. Thank you all - SSgt M

Either a c-4 or a 3 speed stick, if it's original. Welcome to the board :)
