    Hi all!

Im writing here since I live in Mexico, looking for a Mav still...
I wonder how it is to travel with in Mexico. How does it do in the desert for hours at end, mountains, jungle and how it copes with the sometimes interesting roads of fex Jalisco...? (Big holes and sometimes covered in water)

Any troubles like overheating or trouble finding parts or getting it fixed at the local talleres?
It IS a Ford and the 289/302 I think should be fairly common in Mexico aswell.

Ive had my share of breakdowns in the desert and its not fun at all...

If you want to answer in spanish its superfine, I read it, but dont ask me to write it yet... Still got some to learn there... :)

Anyone got a Mav for sale in either Jalisco, Vallarta area or Torreon, Coahuila feel free to send me a PM! Only interested in V8s with floorshift though!

My cousin is in Jalisco(about 1 hour south of Guadalajara) right now and he said he hasn't seen one yet!

he went on vacation and I told him to take a picture if he sees one, but no luck!

There's a couple of Maverick Falcons for sale on that site! I would have thought they were rarer.

Well..I am guessing unless you have modernized it...it will do like any 70's era car... overheat, in the desert. Do fine in jungles.. I know it does well in mountians.. mine has stock original everything, except the tires and I take it over the 5400 feet daily. As for crappy roads... same as any other 4 wheeled car. *shrugs* Sounds like you would be better off with a Jeep or another off road vehicle.

    hello from mexico city
i know how it is to drive in mexico, bad roads with many holes you cant even see or dodge, i dont know there but here in the city the traffic its terrible not only in rush hours but everytime. i have a maverick but its my weekend driver, even though my mav doesnt have many overheating trouble, any ''taller'' here in mex will know how to fix a 289/302 and you can find parts almost everywhere, if you are looking for a maverick in mexico near your location ill suggest you try this
