    Bummer .....

I just got off the phone with Tri-City Plating. They will no longer plate any small parts, only bumpers. They told me they took out the small tanks - just bumpers from now on. I was hoping to send them my boomerangs. I'll probably take them to Iola and hook up with one of the platers there. We do have a custom Harley shop here too .. might see what they can do.

When I had them on the phone I asked if they could recommend anyone and this is who they gave me. I have no personnal knowledge of their work or prices. Anybody ever deal with them?

I thought I would work on this locally first.

HAD my last set done by a local charged $100 for the pair. He told me he only does the polishing not the plating that gets done down by philly then sent back to him for the final polish.

    Try this place..http://gravesplating.com/
They are in north Alabama, close to where Jerry [scrapper 60] lives. They used to advertise in Hot Rod, don't know if they still do or not. I have never used them, but have heard good things about them.....

Just read in Car Craft that the plating business is being pressured by OSHA because of the dangers of the chemicals and metals being used...wonder if that has anything to do with limiting the jobs they do?
