I have been playing with a D7 250 head. I have added 3 Carter/Weber progressive carburetors. The carbs are rated at ~180cfm each or a total of 540cfm. http://my.opera.com/kat4568/albums/show.dml?id=4969252 My next step is to add a progressive linkage, port the head, add some pieces in the ends of the intake to, to direct the air into the 1 and 6 ports. My shortblock will be a 250 crank, 300 rods and custom pistons. The cam is up in the air. The transmission will be a toploader 4 speed and the final drive ratio will be 3.25 maybe 3.55. My goal will be 250hps 250 loghead six. Any suggestions other then replacing the 6 with a V8 I'll be interested in reading. Ken
maverick75, 300 rods won't fit a stock 250. The 250 rod is 5.88 c/l to c/l and a 300 rod is 6.2 c/l to c/l. the stock compression height of a 250 piston is 1.5, so I need a piston with a compression height of 1.26 to 1.28. The crank journals are the same so no machining there. Ken
