Im gonna be doing the same soon. There is a tool that was reccommended to me here on the site. if you search some of my posts you'll see it. it has a red handle and a y shaped top that is used for getting under the trim and popping it off. i'd look it up for you but I'm headed out the door. Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

The front trim comes off very easily. You simply unscrew the visible screws you see on the head light trim and on the bottom side of the front hood lip.

If you use the search function, you'll find info about removing every piece of trim on the car from past discussions. :)

ive been having trouble getting those things off that hold the side trim on the inside of the fenders. they look like little nobs that hold the trim from the inside. im sure theres an easier way then what ive been doing but i didnt find anything in a search

Their nuts tony,5/16" I think maybe 3/8" I dont remember. They can be an SOB if their rotten. The front fenders and rear quarters are attached that way,the doors just have 2 nuts one at the leading edge one on the trailing edge of the inner door. The rest on the door are rivits with plastic clips that hold the trim on.The trim will pop off the clips then you can slide the clips off.To remove the rivits, clip vise grips on the heads and twist as though you are un-screwing the rivits and they will pop off.Have fun.

They do sort of,If you can twist them from the back side they will come loose after a few choice words but then you still have to get the clips off the car.Its just difficult that way and damages the trim beyond repair.

Robtech,When you do get the trim off,buy new clips.Autokrafters has em,Keep track of which clips are where on the car when you do it.The clips are not all the same, the lower trim around the windshield uses different clips from the rest of the windshield trim.Go slowley and dont force the stuff, the trim bends easily and if you snap a rivit off car they are a real PITA to replace, and you need em to re-mount the stuff.Good luck.
