Im reassembling my comet and dont remember what the rubber bumpers look like for the under side of the trunk. Does anyone have a photo of them?
On the trunk lid? They are little black rubber things, the size of a nickle. There was a post about replacements, since Mustang ones are not like Mavericks, and someone found a Ford part number, but it was a hardware number, that's still current, but the part itself had changed. It works, just doesn't look the same.
I grabbed a couple of door bumpers off a Caliber at work. The fit the trunk perfect and work great. Different shape than factory (they look better than factory) but they work and who would notice.
