i put my new (to me) trunk lid on today...question is...how do you get a left/right adj. ...front/back is fine. i have... 0 gap on the d. side and 3/4" on the p. side...frank...
Most of the Maverick trunk lids I've seen have a wider gap on the right side than on the left, although 3/4" seems far too much. They never seem to be centered on these cars. Hopfully, you can adjust yours a little closer...
Frank, does it line up okay with the striker off? If it is still out of alignment with the striker off you need to loosen all 4 bolts, have someone push the decklid towards the side with the biggest gap, and then retighten the bolts. You should be able to get the gap as good as your old decklid. If it aligns good with the striker off, you simply need to adjust the striker till it closes without pulling it to the side. There is some sideways adjustment there. Good luck, Ray
