I am new to the whole resturation process so any help you could offer is greatly appreciated.

The 1977 Comet I have had a tire blow out on the highway and went right through the bottom of the wheel well into the trunk. As the car agred, it rusted around the edges. I am looking to repair it but dont know what the best way to go about doing it would be.

Should I just take a piece of sheet metal and rivit it in after I cut all the rust out? Then undercoat the bottom and inside the trunk?

And I have no idea on what to do about the wheel well.

    Thanks Guys

Could you post some pics of the damage? It would help with giving you a better idea of how to fix it.
