trunk weatherstripping install

    i was looking at installing my weatherstripping today but it don't seem to be as easy as i thought it would be.I assume the lip that sticks up around towards the inside goes in the groove in the weatherstripping but what about the lip across the tail light panel it's to fat and to tall to fit in the groove so any help on installing this would really help.Thanks

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    The trunk weather stripping does not have windlace(the part that goes over the steel lip)the trunk w/s is meant to be glued to the body and sit outside of the steel lip you are seeing.If yourse is supposed to go over the steel lip it is incorrect for your application.

    I used 3M spray adhesive #90 to glue mine on. Holding strong for about a year now. Just watch the overspray... (y)
