    Hello All Fellow FOMOCO Family. I am trying to identify the numbers on my 302 Ford.
    I have searched everywhere. I would like to know how to find them and read them myself or any info would be great! The numbers are DIOE-6015-AA and under them is either 1D29 or ID29?

    it's most likely a 1971 only motor

    D = 1970
    1 = 1 (which makes it 1971)
    O = Torino/Fairlane
    E = Engine
    6015 = engine block
    AA = 30

    When reading casting date(for your engine 1D29) will always be number, letter and one or two more numbers.

    First is year. In this case 1971 but could be 61, 81, 91 etc, D1 in casting number verifies as '71. Had that been E1, would be 1981.
    Second is month. A(Jan) thru M(Dec) skipping I, D is April.
    Third and fourth are day of month, dependant on number of days, anywhere between 1 & 31. Yours is 29 Apr, 1971.

    The casting number ID's year of original introduction of part, sometimes carry on for several years. Also what carline was assigned. The Fairlane/Torino assignment was likely used on all 302 in all carlines(and trucks) for '71. My '72 Comet had a D2OE ID.
