one more race to finish the season. got a call from the track yesterday. part of the track just passed the finish line has washed away and the surface has buckled. i guess the team captains are meeting monday night to determine what to do. the 3 choices i've heard so far is 1. end the season right now. 2. run 1/8 mile. 3. go to the et finals as the points stand right now and finish afterwards for the track championship. the superpro and pro races are pretty tight. ive got a 6 round lead in sportsmen so all i have to do is show up to win the championship. what a bummer!

i thought about that but they probably don't want to pay the rental fees. do you limit it to the people that have only raced at sir this season, since it's their track series? i have no problem with it. i race at both tracks. firebird is 45 miles for me, but it is 130for the locals in tucson. and some of the guys are already travelling from 80 miles or more the other side so now we're talking 210 miles for some.

Man, you guys must have gotten dumped on recently...good old Monsoon season. As mild as the winters are you'd think they wouldn't schedule finals in August.

I used to live right across I-10 from Firebird, in Chandler. On Friday or Saturday night I could sit in my back yard with a beer and listen to the dragsters or speedboats...very relaxing.

Tell them to put a small jump just after the finish line. If a vehicle is not going fast enough at the big end to clear the hole, it's probably a ricer and will serve to fill the hole in. should only take a couple of open track nights to get it full.

Weird weather down that way. Too bad it has to mess with the racing season. Best of luck.
