What a great time though super cold. This was my first competitive bracket race in 3 years or so. I run test n tune from time to time just tweaking and trying to go faster. I ended up making it to the semi finals in there street eliminator class and goofed up not getting on the brakes soon enough and ran out in the semis. It got colder and we flipped for lane choice I got pushed to the left lane with the coin toss loss. Having ran that lane earlier I had no luck with a consistent 60'.to my liking so at the last min I changed my dial from a 7.27 to a 28. Now seeing this little wagon I was up against cut .001 and .002 lights most of the day I knew I needed to be on my game. I got out in front too much and couldn't slow fast enough and he hit his brakes. I had a .009 bulb to his way off .063 and went a 7.267 ... Maybe I need better brakes ha ha ha. In the end I learned my lesson for the future and still had a blast and left with some cash for going 5 rounds. Next year I'll be making a few more races knowing my cars running so well back to back. Also it was very nice to finally meet you Rick. We will have to get together next year man. The majority of my day was like this slip from round 2
Yep, great meeting you that's one fine car you got. Didn't get to see your last pass but it was good to see the track hold up to temp's in the 30's, it sure was cold in the end.
You guys were really lucky you got to race,a lot of tracks would have called it w/ temps that cold.Back in Oct. at MIR when it got down in the low 40s by 8:00 that night at the end of the meet they were threatening to shut down.I`m happy ya`ll got to race, even the small outlaw trk near me at Elizabeth City NC just shut down for the season.
