My turn signals work fine when the headlights are off. But when the headlights are on they are really slooow, like 4-5 secs between each click. When the high beams are on the left signal doesn't come on at all and the right one comes on and stays on.

The alternator is brand new but I have to check what the amp are on it, I can't imagine it would be that though. I also can't imagine it would be the turn signal switch because it works fine with the lights off. Any ideas?

i had the same problem.. i took out the light bulb receptacle.. cleaned the metal with sandpaper to remove the rust... changed all the bulbs, changed the fuses.. could be that your cowl is leaking and allowing water to drip onto the fuse block, did in mine and the lights were slow every time it got wet..

I should check the cowl anyway but I don't think that's it because the car hasn't seen water since I've owned it. I suppose it would be worth pulling everything apart, cleaning the leads, and replacing fuses/bulbs.

Does one side flash faster than the other side? If so, you probably just need to replace the flasher unit.

    I've had a few
Turn signal issues like that are almost always related to a bad ground or bad flasher.

Don't be mean, everyone knows that flashers use a vaccum operated valve to work:)

Replace the flasher with a "heavy duty" flasher. They don't rely on the curent flow to trigger the flash.
