    Was their an undercoating option or something? My floors are black underneath the car:hmmm: yeh i have a rust hole or 2 under the back seat but still, thats what i call rust free:D

    Well, when you get ready to fix things under there, try POR-15. http://www.por15.com/
    I used it after I blasted and patched things. It sure gives a nice finished look, has more shine than you might think, but not too much, and you can beat it with a hammer and the stuff doesn't chip! Then I put some undercoating in those trouble spots that Fords tend to have; along with some other places too.

    '70 Maverick Grabber
    My 70 came from the factory with the firewall, wheelwells, and bottom undercoated. I figured it was as much for sound deadening as rust protection.

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    My blue 72 was factory undercoated. The Sprint was left nekkid...
    There are several good undercoat products on the market if you plan to use one. If you never want to have to fix it again or touch up the under coat...Use a urethane one.The asphalt ones will chip/wear off...
