I am looking for pulleys on my 77 302 that will work as an underdrive system. I am looking to cheat a little at the local track. Underdrive pulleys are not allowed so I am looking for stock ford pulleys that will underdrive things a little and look original. Any suggestions?

I just noticed the other day they sell the "289 hipo" pulleys in Autokrafters. I don't know how much they'll underdrive, but every little bit helps. Another cheap trick is to put a switch on your alternator to turn it on and off. Supposedly can make a difference, but i haven't tried it yet...nor do i know which wire to switch.

Why are underdrive pulleys illegal at your track ?

I will be running in Trophy B class and they dont let you do much to the motor. I am cheating a little (but so is everyone else) and looking for any advantage I can get.

Trophy B only allows aluminum intake, No head work of any kind to include springs, no suspension mods except traction bars, headers are ok but must have full exhaust, full interior, no lower than 4.11 gears and the list goes on.......

I will have to look into the hi-po pulleys. may be what I am looking for.
