If they look anything like the ones I've seen in parts stores they are real cheap looking. I guess it's better than nothing but I'd never use them as long as I could find good factory sport mirrors.
I looked at a pair of the instore ones last week. Same price. Cheap plastic. You can see the ball joint big as life between the base and the mirror head. I got a pair of used pinto or something mirrors off of here. There are also new mustang ones that look very close to Mav mirrors.
I have a set on the falcon, for being cheap they have lasted 5 years with no issue. And they work great. The only issue is that theyre too close to the body, so aesthetics wise theyre horrible. But they work good as mirrors, at least until i find something better.
Does anyone know a good place to order factory made mirrors? Sounds like the best ideas are to get used ones for other cars (any ideas on what year for the Pinto or Mustang suggested above?) or new ones from a factory instead of the cheap-o looking ones I found online. Thanks!
WOW! We found some nice ones, but MAN are they EXPENSIVE!!!!!! FIGURES!!!! http://www.trophymustang.com/196970-racing-mirror-p-3777.html
Try placing a wanted ad on here for a set of factory Maverick sport mirrors. Lots of people have them.
