Just thought I'd let everyone know that the mav was fixed on Tuesday and is running like a champ. Turns out that my rad. had about 6-7 tiny pinholes that must have come from some sort of rock flying up and hitting it. These holes obviously got worse until she finally sprung a leak. The rad. was repairable and with a new 160* thermostat she is running better than ever! Thanks for all of your help and next time I will be getting the aluminum rad. but this time it was just more economical to get the current one fixed, you guys and girls know how it is sometimes.
