Urethane Paint in Spray cans available here ..

FYI -

I decided to paint the engine compartment myself prior to the body shop doing the body so I can finish the engine compartment and drive the car to the shop. These guys custom mixed 71 Ford Bright Red Color Code 3 for me. Unlike most cans that use enamal or laqcuer they use urethane and can mix any factory color. Got them today and sprayed a test area. Looks real good.

Hey Dan, What did you get the single stage,base coat,clear coat?

 

Single Stage ... easier to make touch ups ... They use SIKKENS paint ...

 

And it comes in a regular spray can?

 

Yup ... just got a couple of cans today for my Yellow car. Need it to fix the hole in the quarter, paint my spoiler and Comet GT hood scoop.

Here is a test strip I did on the spoiler to see if it matched ... and that is with no prep or primer ... just about perfect ...

 

Thanks Dan, For the information and picture. BTW, Do you just call them up tell them what color code you need and pay and then they will ship it to you?
