I have a 200 I6 with a 3spd manual shift on the column. I want to put in a 302 v8. My question is if I switch it to a t5 transmission, what parts would I need to change to make it work? Or could I use the 3spd trans with the 302? What would I have to change for that? (z bar) ?????????? Thanks in advance for any help.

The three speed will work with the 302 engine and bellhousing. Ford put the 3.03 3-speed behind everything from 6 bangers to big blocks. When I went to a T5 I used an adaptor plate to mount the tranny to my old bell and kept the manual clutch linkage.
Edit: Forgot to mention I'm using 66 Mustang z-bar and lower clutch rod, readily available from any Mustang supply house. You'll also need to modify the cross member and trans tunnel (if you have a '70).
