In my ultimate quest to find all the linkage required to switch my 1972 Grabber from C4 to Toploader I have found out the following:

    1) The bar and all equalizer bar components including the mounts and bushings are completely unique (thanks Ford Shop Manuals).

    2) The bar is available repro (common knowledge) but the mounts, both engine side pivot and frame side, are not.

However, Perogie enterprises at http://www.perogie.com has had the bushings reproduced and a set for both sides is around $30.

Now all we need to do is get the engine pivot and frame mount reproduced and us Maverick guys who like to shift will have things much easier.

I would be leary of Perogie for the follownig reasons. I've had 3 different friends buy stuff from him and all three had problems. 1 guy bought a complete 8" track lock rear, set up and ready to bolt in. It leaked from day 1. Turns out they installed the wrong pinion seal. Another guy bought a complete V8 clutch linkage set up. It had to be modified to fit and has broken twice requiring welding back together. Since I didnt help him install it I'm not sure what the problems were. Another guy bought a toploader & shifter from him that was supposed to be a Mustang unit. He had to find a different shifter than what he bought cause the shifter was too close to the dash. Even with the one he has now, you can still bang your knuckles on the dash. Just get any guarantees in writting.
