Ok as mentioned before just did an inline 6 to 302 swap. I have the complete repair book for the maverick. In the diagrams it doesnt show me which valve goes where. I have a 3 prong and a 2 prong that go in the back behind the carb on the intake. They are controlled by tempature. I know where they go just not sure if it matters if the 3 prong goes there or the 2 prong. Hopefully this is makes sense. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
What do you need? If your not using A/C, all you need is vacuum advance, and that comes off the carb.
im trying to find out as well. i removed my charcoal can and im not gonna be using the heater or a/c. theres a tree vacuum inlet or something on the firewall, do i need that? or is the only line needed is the vacuum advance?
Those things are for the cold air diverter in the air cleaner and emissions: spark delay, egr, etc. I would plug them unless your state requires them to be on the car. The only ones you need are for the distributor vacuum advance if you have it and ac which you said you don't.
Yeah I don't have an ac. I removed it a while ago. I don't know if these are important. I will have the heater, egr, Vaccum advance and the one on the intake. I think these vaccum switch valves connect to some of these right?
okay, so distributor vacuum advance. so, if i have a c4 transmission, the vacuum modulator have to be connected as well, i think. are those the only 2 that is absolutly necessary?
Yes. Just make sure to put manifold vacuum to the modulator and ported(venturi) vacuum to the distributor vac adv.
