I ran across this listing of tailights on ebay, thought it was absurdly high. Then I read the description, thought I would be a nice guy and tell him the Maverick and Comet tailights are not the same. Here is the reply I got. Yikes, whatta dick. I think I made him a little postal?

thanks for advising, i listed it that way because people like to convert the old ugly maverick lights to those of the comets of the same years,i have two mavericks and i was going to do this swap, it takes a talented person(body shop) to do this, probably something you never thought of doing, so i should advise you to maybe do some research, later.

and here is the link to the listing, once again look at his starting bid?

The guy doesn't know who he's talking to. I've seen some of Dan's work, and it's exceptional. I believe it was Dan that cut off the whole front of a rusted grabber hood and welded on a new one, and made it look as good as new, pretty impressive.

Ya know, its great having buddies on this here puter thing.:)

I once was servicing a gentlemans car, real nice guy. When he came to pick it up I told him that his brake lights were not working. He asked very quickly "In the back"? I just smiled and waited for him to catch his funny. He did, and we laughed hard. Such a nice guy that I fixed the brake light problem for no charge. Everytime I see a rear tailights listing on ebay I think of that guy.

Yes John, I am saving a set of frame connectors for ya. Will bring them to Carlisle. Seems so far off, but will be here before we know it.

From reading his response, Dan....I don't think he was trying to be a dick. It looked more like a lack of writing/speaking skills. I would give him the benefit of the doubt and add that I hope we don't bombard him with a bunch of nasty emails. That doesn't really make "us" look good.

Other than that...he is dreaming if he thinks he will sell them for that price.

Does anything piss you off Craig? He's a dick! His brain is probably as rusty as his cars.

I wonder if he is the same guy that listed a Dodge Maverick a few weeks ago? Anyways, I have bonded with the dude. He is building a killer 72
Grabber from the sounds of it. He is in need of some high back buckets, like the ones in Craigs's yellow car. I will have him a member of this board and MCCI before ya know it. Then we can apply our tender nurturing that will change his entire life. I think he might be pretty young and like Craig stated, probably lacks some communication skills. But he is still a dick.. lol
