On my 73 Maverick stock 302, I have an oil cap on the drivers side that has a PCV valve in it. On the other valve cover there's a grommet on the back side of the valve cover that has a smaller diameter hole in the grommet. I'm sure this had a elbow with a hose that ran to the carb. However, can I just install a small breather instead of hunting down all the stuff to connect is back like factory? After driving it a while, the smoke is strong in the cab. Like I said, the hole is smaller than your standard PCV valve.
