when i sandblasted the valve cover it took off the red or orange decal that was on the valve cover and now that im done witht he paint i want to replace the decal . the only problem is , i dont know what the decal said or even what it was for .. i have the osborn catalog with all the decals in it but i dont know which one to get will someonwe please tell me what the decal was on the valve cover i have a 1972 maverick with the 170 motor ... thanks mark
The only one I can find listed for a 170 is the year 1970. Ford part DOOE-9C485-A Maybe they used the same sticker for other years as well? If somebody can look at their car and see if the number matches, you would be able to order it from Osborn. I do not have any 170's to look at.
The part I gave you is the emissions decal for the 170. That is the only one I can think of right now.
