Anyone have a recommendation for valve cover paint? I need to redo the black paint on some "Powered By Ford" covers.
I did a aluminum valve cover on a Toyota years ago with a spray can wrinkle black. I can't remember who made it now. It goes on heavy, and when it dries it wrinkles. I then sanded the ribs and lettering to the bare aluminum. It looked pretty good when finished, like an aftermarket cover.
VHT makes wrinkle paint that is high heat and even has a pick of valve covers on it but.... if you are trying to be original just get some engine enamel in the same color of what it was stock (usually blue) and use that
