right after his tire blows out in the desert he gets out and looks at it, then it cuts to a scene in a town where a cop is directing traffic. as you see the cop holding a stop sign a red 2dr maverick passes by. you only really see the roof line and windows. the movie came out in '71 i think so it must have been atleast a 69-70
