Vent problems Vent won’t change over to blow out through my vents just goes through the defogger 76

    So I’m having a problem with my 76 Maverick what controls the vents to change over from defrost to vent not blowing out through my vent factory air conditioner heater it’s like it’s just stuck on the defrost mode thanks for your help

    I'm pretty sure their vacuum operated. There should be a line going through the firewall inside. I'd start there.

    defrost mode... is the default mode when something isn't right.

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    As stated, defrost in the default mode. It means you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Start under the hood and check all the hoses. The vacuum canister can also leak and may need a bead of silicone around where the nipple attaches to the "soup can".
