Today is November 11. It is also Veterans Day. I just want to wish all of us that served our country, and all whose family members who served, and all who honor the service of our armed services, a happy Veterans Day. It seems that this is the one holiday that the school systems and local governments have forgotton, or chosen to forget. Schools are in session today, and businesses are open as usual. I may be dating myself, but when I was in school, Veterans Day was a holiday, and there were parades and a real sense of pride at being an American. I just hope that that feeling of pride is not dwindling to the point where we forget the people that got us here. HAPPY VETERANS DAY TO ALL!:)

I didn't forget, I just don't keep track of the date. armistice was called on the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month WWI, correct?

God bless all our fallen heros, past and present servicemen and women, without them, we wouldn't have this great nation

Rick; thank you for that. Some of the guys in the office watched it, and said to convey their thanks. Very inspiring.

I am also a veteran,. I served through the 90's and into 2003... i have many friends that have and are serving, and i have fallen friends as well.

veterans day is just as important as memorial day and needs to be celebrated more..

thanks to all of those that have served, are serving and the future generations that will serve....

    Salute

A many of thanks from me to our vets, especially combat vets. I was in the Navy but it was pretty much gravy compared to what these guys go through.
