    Vinal top.

Vinal tops can usually be done for about $350 total. Just call around to upholstery shops in the yellow pages and ask if they do vinal tops on cars, many don't. I have a black full vinal top and it is a B*tch to keep clean, but when it is stand back and bask in the beauty. Gotta worry about rust under the old vinal top though.

I used to keep my GTO top looking good by using black paste shoe polish and brushing it like a shoe. Have to do this at about the same frequency as polishing the car and it beads up water the same.
