Hey all, What are you using to brighten and keep up your black vinyl roof? I am looking to see what is best to use to not only make like new but to keep the roof from cracking etc. Thanks all !
Vinyl Tops I've apply a good saddle soap and then buff lightly . Looks great and has for the last ten years. I've never colored it. It was always blue. I wouldn't apply any of that vinyl spray paint unless the color is absoloutely "gone". Just My opinion. Cometized
My vinyl top was a dark green and was starting to fade and streak and check so I got a product made by SEM. It is a vinyl paint. I scrubed the top and dryied it, masked off the whole car and gave it two coats of the paint. It cost about 15 dollars per can but turned out real well. Now it is satin black.
Thanks everyone! If anyone else has a product they have used please advise. The guy before me had the car in the garage all its life so no real wear etc so I am lucky there. However he was set on using Armor All on the thing. His wife said he would go out in the garage and spray and rub in the stuff all the time; regardless of whether or not he drove it. I can say it still has a nice finished look but am afraid that Armor All will make it crack out on me. I have always used mink oil and saddle soap myself. Anyway, let me know if there is something better out there. Thanks in advance.
If it has armor all on it...Dont bother ever trying to paint it (I know your not) just saying. You will end up tearing the top off before you get it to look good. That stuff is the painters nightmare...
