Im rebuilding my 302 and am wanting to get a aluminum water pump. Does anyone have suggestions to a specific brand and whether it should be standard flow or high flow ('72 block 347 stroker w/ approx 450HP)?

Also, I wanted to clarify this: a maverick uses a clockwise rotation as viewed from the front and is also considered standard, correct? I'm still unsure as to what other model pumps fit despite the search function

ive had the best look with the new stock replacement pumps from the auto part stores. they are aluminum. ive used the edelbrock water pump and it would over heat unless the car was going 80 mph. i used it on two different cars and had the same problem.
i have used the stewart water pump with good success but its very pricey. ive never had a stock replacement one not be able to cool the motor.

I have always had good luck with Milodon High Volume Aluminum Water Pumps, and they are the cheapest aftermarket ones.....
